Fact Sheet

2009-2010

·         All applications are evaluated by a selection committee that is independent of the MFMSF Executive Board.

·         Four categories of applicants:

High School Senior
Continuing Undergraduate
Undergraduate Spouse
Graduate Spouse Continuing

·         Applications will be available at local high schools, ACS, the Ft. Stewart Education Center, Ft. Stewart Library and the OSC website: thesteelmagnolia.org 

·         Some facts and figures:  In the past 21 years, over 415 scholarships have been given out ranging from $500 to $1500. In 2008 alone, $13,000 in scholarships were awarded.

·         Eligibility is based on two factors:  Proof of military sponsorship (i.e. valid military ID card) and residency (parents or applicant must reside within 50 miles of Ft. Stewart, Georgia). See cover page of application for more details about eligibility.
